? The Fastest Way: The "Champions Express" Shuttle (Free with your ticket!)
To welcome visiting fans, the city is launching a completely separate, direct bus shuttle service between the airport and the city.
Route: It takes you directly from the airport to the Népliget transport hub (running continuously from 08:00 AM).
- Where to find it at the airport: After collecting your bags and exiting into the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 2B, simply follow the UEFA-colored arrows on the floor and the signs reading "Fan Shuttles." The buses will be parked directly outside the terminal building in designated fan bus lanes. Airport staff and UEFA volunteers will be on-site to guide you to your team's specific bus.
- Route and Destination: The shuttle runs non-stop from the airport straight to the Népliget transport hub, dropping you off right next to the massive green park (which serves as the official Fan Meeting Point for one of the teams). Buses depart continuously every few minutes starting from 08:00 AM.
- How to get to the stadium (Puskás Aréna): Once you hop off the shuttle at Népliget, follow the stadium signs under the overpass. Walk over to the Tram 1 platform (heading towards Bécsi út / Vörösvári út). Board the tram and ride it for 5 stops until you reach the Puskás Ferenc Stadion station. When you step off, the arena will be right in front of you.
- How to get to the Fan Festival (Heroes’ Square): If you want to go to Heroes' Square first from Népliget, head underground to the Népliget Metro Station. Take the M3 (Blue) Metro line towards Újpest-központ and ride it for 5 stops to Deák Ferenc tér. At Deák Ferenc tér, transfer to the historic M1 (Yellow) Metro line towards Mexikói út and ride it for 6 stops to Hősök tere. As you walk up the stairs, you will find yourself right in the middle of the festival.
? The Classic Airport Route: Bus 200E (Free with your ticket!)
If you prefer not to take the Champions Express because your accommodation is located elsewhere, the regular scheduled 200E bus is your best alternative.
- Where to find it at the airport: Look for the official BKK bus stop located directly outside the arrivals level, between Terminal 2A and Terminal 2B.
- Route and Destination: The bus departs from the airport and runs all the way to the Kőbánya-Kispest transport hub (a large blue terminal building and shopping mall).
- How to get to the city center / your accommodation: Get off at the Kőbánya-Kispest bus station, head up the stairs, and follow the "Metro" signs. This is the terminus of the M3 (Blue) Metro line. Board the train to travel directly into the city center without any transfers (ideal for dropping bags off at hotels near Corvin-negyed, Kálvin tér, Ferenciek tere, or Deák Ferenc tér).
? What NOT to choose on match day: Bus 100E and Taxis
The direct downtown Bus 100E will operate as usual, but the free fan travel does NOT apply to this line; you must purchase a special dedicated ticket for it.
Taxis / Driving your own car: Strongly discouraged! There will be massive road closures and security checkpoints around the Puskás Aréna. It will be impossible to get close to the stadium by car, and no parking spaces will be reserved for fans.
