The Margit Bridge in Budapest connects the Szent István boulevard and the Margit boulevard by touching Margit Island. As the capital's second permanent bridge, it was built between 1872 and 1876 and inaugurated on April 30, 1876.

The bridge spans the two branches of the Danube next to the island with 3-3 openings with increasing support spacing towards the center of the bridge. The total length of the bridge is 607.6 meters. At the island, the bridge axis breaks, so that the piers in both Danube branches are parallel to the current line. The wing bridge leading to Margit Island, opened on August 19, 1900, connects to the bridge at the middle pillar. Until its construction, the island was only accessible by water.
